Delivered in the House of Representatives, December 10, 1859. Printed by Lemuel Towers. Contains the initials "A.B.N." written in pen on the front cover. Curry writes, "...the ideas, the principles, the politics of the Republican party are necessarily and inherently and essentially hostile to the Constitution and to the rights and interests of the South." Very fragile, with several pages, including cover, almost completely separated from binding.
