First edition, printed by order of the Corporation of New York, by W. A. Davis. Specially bound in leather with gilding for presentation to "Hon. John T. Irving, First Judge of the Court of Common Pleas for the City and County of New York. 1826." Concerns the opening of the Erie Canal. Contains folding maps of the United States, New York, the canal route, and folding lithographic images of the opening ceremony and the flotilla.
