Coghill asks Hunter if he can obtain a passport for Robert L. Cobbs, now living in Canada, to return to Virginia. "... Permit me to introduce to you Mr Ro L Cobbs, of Canada, formerly of Nelson County, Va., where he resided for many years. He is a gentleman of character, and most respectably connected in the counties of Amherst, Nelson and Bedford being the grandson of David S. Garland Esq, decd, well Known to you.
