An account of John Brown's time in Kansas, based largely on George W. Brown's recollections. Title page states "The Truth at Last. History Corrected...Thrilling Incidents of Border Life in Kansas." Brown was the editor of the Kansas free state newspaper Herald of Freedom, which was the organ of the New England Emigrant Aid Company.
