Initialled twice by Knox. This document was sent to James Swan. Will accept a payment of $12,000 and $18,000 loan at 6 percent interest, payable annually, in return for 100,000 acres of land. The land is probably in Maine. Guarantees the land will not cost more than 30 cents per acre.

Dated 18 September and 11 or 12 October, but no year provided. On 18 September there were 2,120 effective troops. Received an additional 242 troops on 11 or 12 October. Notes 600 killed and wounded, leaving 1,762 troops. After receiving additional troops he notes a total of 2,320 soldiers at the bottom of the document. In Knox's hand. Title taken from docket.

The total amount adds up to $61,401, of which $52221 was principal and $9,181 was interest. According to the docket the document appears to have been sent to Joseph Hale.

Acccount Samuel Shaw had with John Fisher in Philadelphia. These items were "charged to Gen Knox" and Shaw signed it, verifying the charges. The bill was for $77.75. Some of the items bought included shoes, shirts, combs, hair powder, snuff, paper, sealing wax, quills, etc. It is also noted that mending and washing of clothes was done. Docket in Shaw's hand.

On page 3, "Paid Cato Bradish at 4 payments per recd on account of his wages as a servant to Mrs Knox." Many other mentions of giving Cato money to pay for goods or for his wages.
