Estate inventory taken 17 February 1795 and filed on 13 March 1800. Document signed by Seth Marvin and John W. Tuthill in 1795, and by Samuel Strong and Richard Woodhull in 1800. No place of creation, but Woodhull was living in New Cornwall, Orange County, New York in 1790. Lists the items found on his farm. Includes: 25 oxen, 13 cows, 90 sheep, 10 hogs, and farm utensils worth 100 pounds. Also has 18 slaves. Written by Champion for the Court of Common Pleas in Camden County held on 27 November 1786. Document certifies the freedom "of the Negro Peter lately claimed by William Massey." It states that Peter "hath been adjudged a free Man and ... he shall be deemed held and taken as a free Man during his Life." Document was witnessed, but not signed by, Henry Pendleton, an associate justice of the state. Red wax seal is extant on bottom of recto.

Title: [Affadavit of sales agreement for a slave named Hannibal in St. Croix]

Marked "Copy." Certifies that he purchased Hannibal in October 1780 from Captain John Earl. He was informed that Thomas Wright, a sailor on board Earl's ship, owned one half of Hannibal. Payment was twenty half "Joes" - ten to the captain and ten to Wright in Havana. Payment also included a certain amount of rum. The rum was worth £50.17.7 1/4 Philadelphia currency and was shipped to Earl on Captain Harr's vessel on 31 October 1781. Says "I do not recollect any other circumstances attending the Sale of this Negro."

Signed by Lieutenant Murphy as aide-de-camp to Union General Pleasonton. Serves as a congratulatory message from General William S. Rosecrans after Pleasonton forced the retreat of General Price during Price's Raid. Rosecrans declares "The pursuit of over three hundred miles accomplished in so short a time, contending a considerable portion of the war, and victory so decisive over such odds, will rank among the brilliant achievements of any war, and cover with honor all who have been engaged in it." At the time, Rosecrans was commanding the Department of the Missouri.
