Writes to his brother-in-law about business matters. States that his Boston business assistant Alexander Bliss forwarded fifteen hundred dollars to a client, Mr. Derby. Referring to the difficulty of balancing a Boston law practice with political service in Washington D.C., states "my cases have been hung up for a fortnight ... they come on me now in a shower." Year added in pencil at a later date.
