Praises McParlin's work and notes that "The Secretary of War and the Surgeon General were much pleased with their visit." Indicates he will visit McParlin with a man named Abbott, and invites McParlin to his new home. Notes that "demonstrations have commenced on 'the left,' under Hancock, and I trust that, final and complete success may be speedily attained."
