The document explains that Mr. Franklin has been accused of violently forcing himself upon the estate of Robert van Deusen's son on the Manor of Livingston, and turning the said tenant out at gun point. When Robert Livingston, Jr. confronted Mr. Franklin on the matter, Mr. Franklin's men turned their guns on Livingston while Franklin declared that he would not leave unless he received orders from Governor Shirley. Title: Deposition regarding the actions of Benjamin Franklin in Taghkanic

Dirck W. Ten Broek, a Justice of the Peace for Albany, relates the deposition given to him on 21 November 1755, regarding the actions of Benjamin Franklin, who recently took over the house of Johannis Van Deusen at Taghkanic in the Manor of Livingston. According to the deponents, Franklin claimed that he purchased the land, and it no longer belonged to Robert Livingston, Jr. or the province of New York. Rather, Taghkanic was now within the colony of Massachusetts.

Title: Deposition regarding 4 former tenants of Livingston Manor

The document records statements given by 4 former tenants of Livingston Manor, Andris Reese, Jonathan Darby, Hendrick Brusie, and Christopher Brusie, who have violated Robert Livingston, Jr.'s orders and reoccupied their houses on the Manor. According to the deposition presented before Justice Dirck Ten Broek, the four men ardently refused to leave their possessions when ordered to do so by the deponents.

William conveys what he believes to be the contents of a forthcoming report of Council regarding Robert Livingston, Jr.'s boundary dispute with Massachusetts. According to the report, the Governor will try to remove the encroachments upon the Manor, and a King's Commission will be assembled to survey the region and settle the dispute. Peter explains how their mother fell ill all of a sudden and expired the previous night. He proposes depositing her remains in a vault in New York, until they may carry out her wishes and bury her next to their father in the Spring. Docketed on address leaf.

Peter asks Robert, Jr. to send his sloop down at the earliest occasion, so that they may send their mother's remains up to the Manor for burial along side their father. Robert, Jr. is asked to come with the sloop if he is able to.

Philip gives his condolences for the death of their mother, and hopes "that tho' this great bond of Union is Broake yet the same Brotherly Affection & Friendship that has so remarkably persisted between us all, may continue as Long as Life." He also asks that Robert, Jr. send down his sloop that that their mother may be taken to the Manor and buried along side their father.
