Appears to be a document describing the estate of the late General Brigadier Samuel Waldo. Notes the estate was divided into parts; two shares went to Samuel Waldo, the eldest son; one share went to Frances Waldo; once share to Hannah Waldo Flucker; and one share went to Lucy Waldo Winslow. Thomas Flucker, who married Hannah Waldo, then purchased Samuel Waldo's two shares of the estate. Discusses in further detail the line of the Waldo estate.

Appears to be a note about Lucy Knox, wife of the late Henry Knox. Describing her life and character, the note was possibly written as a retrospect after her death. Author and date is not listed. A circa date of 1806-1824 was taken from the death dates of Henry and Lucy Knox; states "late Gen Henry Knox," he died in 1806, Lucy Knox died in 1824. It is possible the note was written at a later date.

Mentions she and Henry Knox had a baby girl. Says the [Revolutionary] War is tearing families apart. States, "how horror is the war, Brother against Brother, and the parent against the child." Date added later in pencil.

Writes that he has been in the hospital for a day or so. Tells his wife that much of the regiment will return home, however, he wants to re-enlist, which could last as long as three years. Says it will depend somewhat on her wishes.
