A wooden handled Robeson Shuredge knife with 13 cm. long blade. U.N.S. is engraved on the base of the blade close to the handle. The sheath is in a light brown leather case with a snap closure around the handle. The sheath has a belt loop. Askin, T., C.Q. M, U.S.N. is written in black on the front. Askin, T. B. H., C. Q. M. is also written across the back of the sheath.

Title: The U.S.S. Texas in World War II: A Pictorial Review of the Accomplishments of the Thirty-Ones Year Old Battleship, Published for the Officers and Men Who Served in Her During the Second World War

A cheifly pictoral record of the officers and men who served on the U.S.S. Texas during World War II. On the last page is a hand written note by Thomas Barwiss Hagstoz Askin, Jr. stating that the U.S.S. Texas was towed by the U.S.S. Mosopelea and the U.S.S. Paiute to San Jacinto, Texas to be enshrined as a state memorial. Accompanying each picture is a brief description of the event ocuring at the time of the photograph.

Vinch attributes a large part of the success of the invasion to decieving the German's into believing that the Allied troops were planning a massive attack in Calais, as opposed to Normandy.

Reciting Section 3114, Miss. Code 1942, calls on polling officials to prevent the disruption of other voters and to "be careful to follow the law," to prevent the success of any law suits that may be brought against them by the Attorney General of the United States.
