Contents include the 1850 convention held at Worcester; the 1851 convention held at Worcester; the 1852 convention held in Syracuse; the 1853 convention held at the Broadway Tabernacle in New York; and the 1854 convention held in Cleveland. Inscription reads, "Harriet H. Robinson from Paulina Gerry, Nov. 1881." Gerry attended the 1850 convention. Robinson used this volume in writing "Massachusetts in the woman suffrage movement. A general, political, legal and legislative history from 1774 to 1881" (Boston, 1881).

Gurley as a token of his Friendly Regard. Washington City, D.C., Oct. 25th 1847. J.Y. Van Tyne." First part (396 pages) consist of Ashmun's autobiography. Appendix, numbered 1-160, contains some of Ashmun's writings. Accompanied by a small maple leaf, which was previously pressed between pages 4 and 5 of appendix. Pages 4 and 5 are stained from the leaf.

Includes a printed fold-out leaf opposite page 132, which consists of George Washington's discharge for a soldier named Brister Baker. The first illustration depicts Crispus Attucks, a runaway slave and a sailor who died 5 March 1770 in the Boston Massacre. A second section includes information on the state of African American Civil Rights at the time of publication. This work is a duplicate of GLC06176.
