A note, seemingly written later but in the same hand, states that the money should instead be sent to Levit Billings.

Burnet reminds Bowen that he must send the clothing supplies already requested, as they are badly needed by himself and General Nathanael Greene. Greene was Quartermaster General at the time of this letter. Ichabod Burnet was Greene's personal aide, and issued many of his supply orders. The recipient is listed in the text as "Colonel Bowen." This almost certainly refers to Ephriam Bowen, the Deputy Quartermaster-General of the Rhode Island Militia, since the letter refers to supplies coming from Providence, Rhode Island.

Letter written by Elderkin as Captain in 7th Connecticut Regiment to the Selectmen of Coventry, Connecticut. Requests the selectmen furnish John Bill and Samuel Bardain, two soldiers in his company, with guns, bayonets, cartridge boxes, and blankets. Wants them to be equipped according to the Act of the Governor and Council of Safety. On the second page, two identical notes written in the same hand in Coventry on April 15, 1777 state that they were supplied. Bardain and Bill each signed one of the notes.
