Relates that Stevens will be taking up residence in New York City to work as "a dealer in lumber of all sorts, and probably to construct, for buildings of various kinds."

Says the sheriff made arrangements with Flucker prior to the war but now contends that he is not accountable for some of the money and does not owe interest on it.
