Suspends an act issued on 1 April 1811 authorizing the opening of streets through the Navy Yard in the Philadelphia districts of Moyamensing and Passyunk. The suspension will last for either six years or until the construction of war ships for the War of 1812 have been completed, launched, and equipped. Issued by Snyder as Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, with paper state seal. Accompanied by a certification by Pennsylvania Secretary of State N.B. Boileau that this is a true copy and a certification that Boileau is indeed the Secretary of State.l.

Also signed by Charles Bulfinch, William Porter, Eben Oliver, Joseph Foster, and Nathan Webb, all serving as the selectmen of Boston. The license was good for one year, and made in accordance with a June 1795 act of the General Court giving authority to the selectmen to regulate public vending. Captain John May participated in the Boston Tea Party. Bulfinch was a prominent architect.

Provides information between the time that he was enslaved, to serving in the military and later as a sailor. This letter discusses the reasons why they have been unable to fulfill their contract, including the Ordnance Department's order for an older rifle model. Letter written in response to orders received by an inspector at the N. Starr Company from Captain Thornton (possibly Naval Officer James Thornton).

They discuss the weather, farming, and local naval activities in the War of 1812, including reports of "a heavy cannonading." The bottom half takes the form of a letter dated June 18, 1813. It discusses hauling a load of rocks, tending to the potatoes, and the town's reaction to the cannonading heard two days before. He received his cousin's paper, but has not written earlier because his studies, at Brown University, have kept him busy. Reports of a local stable fire in which eight of sixty horses died and nearly all their carriages were destroyed. Two days later, their was an attempt to set fire to another stable. A hackman was suspected. Mentions good weather and discusses skating. A note on the back, possibly a response to a letter from Annie mentioned in the letter's main body, records a day's schedule a Brown.

Printed document under Tench Coxe's name, but unsigned. This request for contractor proposals to supply black walnut gun stocks to the government was issued by Coxe as Purveyor of Public Supplies, an office he held 1803-1812. Asks that proposals contain the price and the number of stocks that can delivered in one, two, or three months. Will be paid cash after inspection. Date inferred from document. The form has a pre-printed date "180" with space for the last digit. I used Coxe's dates of service to get a rough estimate of the document's creation.

Discusses the case of Lieutenant Joseph Duncan, who was transferred from the 17th to the 19th regiment. Details on the case are not given, although it appears to concern Duncan's rank. Parker expresses that the secretary of war does not see "any cause of complaint on the part of the officers of the 17th Infy." Parker was assistant inspector general in the war department.
