Provides Peirce with a list of arguments to use against the 10 proprietors who are bringing a suit against him. Mentions lack of state surveys and irregularities of former sales. Says "It is a matter of some consequence to ascertain whether the 10 proprietors gave a bond to the state to abide by the definition of the patent of 1785 - If they did the words of that bond must have been according to that definition which has not be complied with."
