In the letter to William Livingston, Robert expresses grave concern over his legal situation. He is disappointed that Bishop backed out at the last minute, and frustrated with Blackham for persistently thwarting his efforts. Robert implores William to help him out of the matter. He also expresses his pleasure that Robert will be joining him, and arranges to send for Robert to meet him at Portsmouth, where they will presumably continue on their voyage. With a letter on p.3 to Robert Livingston from Isaac Gav[risson] and D. Minvielle, 13 May 1706. Isaac apologizes for Robert's recent troubles, states that he looks forward to seeing him soon. In a petition addressed to Sidney Godolphin, Lord High Treasurer, Lodwick attests to the fact that Livingston and van Cortlandt victualled troops at Albany from 1699-1700, and are therefore owed payment for this expense.
