Hodges served in the Civil War as Sergeant in Company B, 37th Mississippi Infantry Regiment. Includes five bars of gold colored thread. Bars are mounted on cardboard, apparently by paste. Housed with a tan-colored envelope measuring 6.5 x 10.5 cm.
