Printed by Roger C. Weightman. Boone sought a grant of land in the Missouri territory. The committee cites Boone's service to the United States, his willingness to face peril, his contribution to western settlement, and his current state of poverty. Authorizes that Boone's wish is granted, and that he receive a grant of land. Also states that the committee has corresponded with the legislature of Kentucky regarding creation of a Boone memorial. This pamphlet's pages are separated.

Wishes to know if any such letter really came from Griffith, and assures the recipient that no such events actually happened. Wonders if General Thomas Conway is somehow involved in these affairs. Though the Conway Cabal was over, Conway continued his personal attacks on Washington long afterward.

President Grant asks former General Franz Sigel to be Secretary of the Commission to Santo Domingo. In 1869 the Senate refused to approve a treaty annexing Santo Domingo, but in his 1870 message to Congress, Grant reopened the issue. The House authorized him to form a commission to investigate the issue further. He tells Sigel to respond by telegraph if he accepts. Says a naval ship will await the commission at Norfolk, Virginia.
