After a "small journey" Hichborn will see "whether that oath cannot be taken at Philadelphia."

Reports that Madame de la Val and her party set off in a packet last Saturday. Writes, "they had a shocking time, but are well over it by this time." Henry Jackson said he was going to contact Knox for help getting a letter from the Spanish ambassador, and Hays notes that the owners will be grateful for Knox's assistance.
