He also desires to find some new interpreters, as he is suspicious of Laurence Claese; and he hopes to receive more money from the Assembly so that he may keep 10 or 12 men living among the Senecas and Onondagas. The Mohawks, Oneidas, Onondagas, Cayugas, and Senecas give separate replies, ye they all relate to similar issues. Each group discusses their resolve to go to war with the Turchturicks, and their wariness of consorting with the Governor of Canada. They also thank Corlaer for guns, powder, and priests; and they also agree to apprehend any individuals found trading without the Governor's pass, and take them to Albany.
