Acknowledges receipt of Thomas's letter of 13 April 1791. Knox writes, "I have always conceived your proposition relative to your note to Mr. Flucker to be [equitable]," and that he himself would not hesitate to accept it. He has written to William Duer on the matter. Hopes there will be no legal impediment to accepting the offer. Signature clipped.

Writes, "This seems to be acting judicialy; and not ministerialy; and the advantages of speedy information to the Community may be somewhat delayd."
