Notes that nine men recently returned from captivity in Canada and on their way to Pennsylvania were given six days rations. A total of 54 rations were issued. A note on verso signed by a Michael Rich states that the rations were delivered.

Envelope addressed to Della Gillett in South Valley, New York. Postmarked from Maryland.

Letter was probably written in 1865.
