In regard to the (illegal) tea Rivington sent Knox to sell, Rivington comments: "I fancy you had much rather I had not sent an article so much out of your way of Business." Also regquests a single copy of any well-written pamphlet or book from Boston on the subject of the American dispute with the British. Rivington will print it in New York "whilst it shall be quite new to our readers in this province." Rivington was a bookseller, printer, and journalist who came to America in 1760. But since Knox has shown interest in selling them, Rivington will furnish him with such pamphlets. Rivington was a bookseller, printer, and journalist who came to America in 1760. He also expresses some discontent regarding commissions, "as I have not had influence enough to make a single officer... and strangers are put in that have never seen service."
