He explains that a large shipment of iron has just arrived, and though some of it is of poor quality, Robert Cambridge strongly encourages his father to purchase it. Robert, Jr. writes that he is surprised to hear that Robert Livingston (1746-1813) is of the opinion that their grandfather, the first Robert Livingston, intended to bequeath more land to his son Robert (1688-1775) than his will actually stated. He upholds his claims to a certain creek, and warns that he will continue to defend his right to this property. With address leaf and docket on verso. The docket states that the letter is a copy.
