The second asks Knox to tell the Duc de Liancourt that letters of his were sent. The third tells Knox that Peirce expects that his son is on his way home, which is why he has not written to him. However, if his son is not on his way home, and Knox should see him, asks that Knox tell him the Peirce family is all well and looking forward to seeing him.

Also mentions an arrangement with Captain [Thomas] Vose involving the purchase of articles to trade in the West Indies and Europe. Pemberton laments the bad behavior of "Master Waldo" [Flucker].

Knox writes, "I have the goodness to deliver Mr. John Davis the deed of relinquishment to the State of other lands, and receive from him the deed of Mr. Thomas Davis to me in behalf of the State." Knox also sends his wife's signature on a paper Peirce had sent to him. Writing is very faded and the paper is very thin.
