Livingston's nephew James writes inquiring about a friend of his, Thomas Pelsfooed, who had traveled to New York the previous year. As Pelsfooed is a friend, James requests that his uncle enquire about his whereabouts and employ him if possible. Also present is a letter from Barbara Livingston, in which she tells of young Robert's health, and requests that the recipient write on her behalf to a Mr. Hackinshaw, who has refused to pay Barbara any money due to her. Title: Livingston & Schuyler's Remonstrance for Actions at his Majestys Council

Robert Livingston and Peter Schuyler, having been summoned to a memorial service held upon the death of the Earl of Bellomont, travelled to New York where (with the absence of the Lieutenant Governor) the Council illegally invited Coll Smith to become President of the Council. This remonstrance is an apology for misreading the situation and for having acted so. Document signed by both Schuyler and Livingston.
