Collection consists of approximately 318 items that consists of snapshot photographs, most accompanied by original celluloid negatives, from the 1970 Ohio State University riots, April 15 to May 7, 1970, and from the demonstrations in Washington, DC, on May 9, 1970. The Ohio State riots were one of the largest student demonstrations of the Vietnam War era but were overshadowed by the contemporaneous demonstrations at Kent State, which resulted in the deaths of four students. A thank you letter from Daniel Lungren, the Attorney General of California, to Moorhead for his legislation the Officer's Civil Liability Act of 1995(H.R.1446). This act strives to limit the award of punitive damages "to the kinds of egregious conduct that warrant a recovery" it also limits the attorney's fees to under one-third of the recovery. Lungren also mentions a particular case Chuman V. Wright in which this bill would have been a benefit. The case was such that an officer got a warrant to search a suspected cocaine storage house. They were confined in quarantine for two weeks after recieving a physical, their uniforms, and other basic goods ranging from toilet articles to a gas mask. Most of the men started on their psychs, physicals, and interviews earlier this week and last four days, but there are about 60 men who still have everything to take, including Bob, who is placed on "K.P." [Kitchen Patrol] two days in a row to account for the men who are busy testing…

Describes life in the barracks as "funnier than a musical comedy on broadway." Explains he hasn't had any classification tests yet, but will probably start on Monday. Moves on to talk about the rampant gambling, and the seven-hand poker games that Don would love. Complains about the tough grind of "K.P." [Kitchen Patrol] briefly and thanks Don again for his long letter and the "St. Cris" and the inscription on it.
