Note on verso, "One of my Philadelphia papers is mislaid - I cannot find it."

It depicts Meagher's Irish Brigade (the 63d, 69th and 88th NY, 115 PA and 28 Mass.; shown carrying a battle flag with Irish harp) charging Marye's Heights. The flag was carried in this battle by the 28th Mass. In the upper right on a crest, Marye's house can be discerned (with the columns).
