Written and signed for Knox by his aide Samuel Shaw to Brigadier General Hand. Says the prisoners of war at West Point are being marched this day to the 4th Massachusetts Regiment. Their names are enclosed. Says Lieutenant Hoit [could be the same Hoit at GLC02437.01755] is to be watched because "He has in several instances been tampering with the soldiers." Says David Jones is a deserter who should be released, which coincides with General Washington's wishes.
