Jamison writes to thank Livingston for his news on the Indian situation, claiming "We hear from Boston there is little prospect of any warr this Summer" and his hopes that this is a sign of things to come. He also writes of the Assembly elections, "if we carry it [at Exeter] & at Albany we shall have the majority" and news from Capt. Livingston's petition contesting Royal Collector Thomas Weaver's decision to revoke all "warrants" granted to Livingston. These warrants, which are payments for Livingston's expenditures in victualling the troops at Albany and other such layings-out of money on the Provincial Government's behalf, are vital to Livingston's finances as he had "exhausted his means to support the credit of the Government." Requests the Queen to order the reimbursment of three and a half years of salary unreceived, as well as moneys disbursed throughout victualling. Below Livingston's petition on p.2 is a note from C. Hedges forwarding the petition to the Lord High Treasurer Lord Godolphin, dated 22 October 1705. On p.3 William Lowndes, on the behalf of Lord Godolphin, forwards the petition to William Balthwayt, dated 19 December 1705. Below this is contained Blathwayt's response of the 29 Janurary 1706, in which he orders that Livingston be paid the sum due to him.
