Signed by nine other men, the Commission officers, the selectmen, and the Committee of Safety of the town. States that eight men were hired to go to Fishkill for 110 pounds each, three men were hired to go to Peekskill for 80 pounds each, and three men hired for Peekskill at 11 pounds per month until the company is discharged.

Title: [Poem honoring Colonel Moses Parker of Chelmsford]

Poem in 22 stanzas honoring Colonel Moses Parker, killed at the Battle of Bunker Hill, 17 June 1775. First stanza says: "Come all who have skill and Lament / and let your hearts and eyes have vent / While you to memory do call / The Valient Colonel Parkers fall." Goes on to speak of Parker as a hero because of his courage and valiant actions. Says he fought in the French and Indian War before dying in the American Revolution after being wounded in the thigh. Hopes Parker will be a role model for other soldiers.

List of regiments and officers with the number of rations delivered to each. Front page states it is to Wadsworth and Carter, a firm created by Jeremiah Wadsworth and Colonel Carter. Carter was actually John Barker Church. They served as agents for the French Army during the Revolutionary War.

Directs them to notify the townspeople that are qualified to act in town affairs to assemble at the public meeting house on 8 July 1778 at 1PM. Lists the articles to be addressed at the meeting including raising money to pay the soldiers and companies of the Continental army. Note dated 8 July 1778 and signed by Abial Mitchel, Constable certifying that he has notified the townspeople of the meeting.

Certifies that George Pratt, gunner of the sloop Shark, has given an account of the expense of gunner's shares from 6 May to 19 November 1776. A note on second page, signed by Robinson N. Bowman, states that the certificate for Pratt is on the other side and informs that Mrs. Pratt will call on him for her marriage certificate. Also mentions paying a man named Clark his wages.

Title: [Regimental petition of Patrick Leland]

Petition stating that Leland was discharged from Lord Blakeney's regiment and recommended to the British Royal Bounty of Chelsea, but was taken prisoner by the enemy. He was a prisoner in Port au Prince, Haiti for 7 months, and then was sent home by Governor Moore in Jamaica by ship. He did duty as a marine for 4 months. Requests his pay. Lord Blakeney possibly refers to Baron William Blakeney, lieutenant-governor and lieutenant-general of Minorca in 1747.

Countersigned by Archibald Campbell, commander at Fort George, in Penobscot (now Maine). Certifies that in October 1775, Nathaniel Deering had a quantity of cattle, sheep, and hay which was for the British troops at Boston. Also certifies that Deering was promised payment for the cattle. On the reverse is a listing dated 22 October 1775 for the goods of Deering including oxen, cows, sheep, fowl, cabbage, hay, etc. and their costs. There is also a note dated 17 June 1784 signed by Enoch Freeman that certifies the account is the truth.
