A stereocard of the Patriot Publishing Company. Description of the photograph reads "A group of Union dead on the right of the federal lines on the first days' fight, July 1, 1863. These soldiers were killed by one discharge of "cannister" from a Rebel gun during a charge. "Cannister" is a tin can filled with small balls about the size of a marcle. When the cannon is fired the force of the discharge bursts open the can, and the shower of canniseter balls sweeps everything before it." This stereocard reproduced is the 1940s

Prints a proclamation made by the President and Supreme Executive Council of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania concerning keeping Sunday as a holy day, the "Lord's Day." Reports on new regulations for the Quartermaster's department on p. 2 including officers to be appointed, and the pay and supplies given for the different ranks. Also prints "An Act to Prevent any New Independent State within the limits Commonwealth," on p. 3, first column, which states that any attempt to form a new government within the state will be considered treason.

Reports there is over a $1,000,000 in damages, 350,000 people are homeless, and countless dead, mostly resulting from the fire that erupted after the quake. Attempts to demonstrate that Clymer is a fit representative for the Democratic party in the Pennsylvania gubernatorial election. Notes that Clymer is "foremost in denunciation of the Government, and strenuous in his opposition to every measure calculated to suppress rebellion."
