Campbell, a sub-Indian agent under Graham, reports on various difficulties he is encountering while dealing with Indians in Missouri: a party of Delaware Indians led by Chief William Anderson are opposing relocation to Kansas; problems related to Kickapoo annuities, horse thefts, and the lack of an interpreter; the imminent arrival of the Cherokee and their (and the Delaware) war with the Osage; and, a drunken associate that was giving him no assistance.

A ledger sheet recording 1829 annuities paid to the Delaware, Peoria, Wea, Piankishaw, Haskaskia, and Kickapoo Indians between March 1, 1829 and June 1, 1829. Lists the amount, location of transaction, voucher number, from whom the funds came and to whom they were paid. Richard Graham's signature is found in the body of the ledger.

One highlight includes a description of skirmishing on the Pactuck River in April. 4 pages at the back list books. Sergeant Michael Murray Miller of the 1st Pennsylvania Reserves came from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Most of the letters are to his wife. Included in 206 item collection are 39 letters from his wife to him from Gettysburg and 13 other letters to and from relatives. According to William A. Frassanito, Early Photography at Gettysburg (1995), Miller's letters are the only large archive of a soldier from Gettysburg.
