[cousin]. Flora is playfully upset with Miller for not writing recently, charging that she wrote to him last, and that it was several weeks ago that she sent the letter in question. However, she quickly darkens the tone of her prose. Flora is thoroughly disillusioned with the war. "I will take your advice and never mar(r)y" she writes. She relates the death that surrounds her, and her disgust. "This wretched war, when will it cease?" She asks Miller about his recovery from the wound he endured, and wishes that he might visit her soon. The last line reads "From your affectionate coz.,…
