References Knox's letters of 27 February and 2 March. Notes he delivered the letters enclosed for Mrs. Flucker. Has learned from the sheriff of the county that no part of the patent can be sold to pay taxes. States he can count on his watchfulness. Will wait for information respecting William Tudor, to whom Jackson owed money. Says "I will fight him thro' every stage of the law and subject myself to every and any inconvenience before I will submit to such a damn'd swindling trick."
