31 March 1796
Knox, Henry, 1750-1806
Autograph letter signed
Title: to William Bingham and Abijah Hammond
Contains two letters. The first is labeled an extract of a letter to Mr. [William] Bingham. Writes about how grateful he is for Bingham's help with Knox's personal affairs. Discusses business negotiations with Mr. [possibly Alexander] Baring as well as monies owed by Knox in Philadelphia. Mentions other business associates such as Mr. [Joseph] Anthony and Mr. [Samuel] Hodgdon. The second letter, to Mr. Hammond, asks for further accommodations so he might take enough time to get his finances in order before paying Hammond and Colonel [William Stephens] Smith the money he owes them.
