The third page has two forms, one detailing the funds "intrusted" to Eugene Williams (signed by S.R. Weaver) and the other giving Eugene Williams pecuniary responsibilty. The reverse contains instructions for filling out the forms on page three.

Waldo appears in this letter as O.H. Waldo, his first name was determined from letter GLC06253.10 of this collection. Van Valkenburgh's reply to this letter is GLC06253.23. Otis H. Waldo married Franklin's sister Gertrude, but it is unclear what year the marriage occured.

Has requested that enslaved people who worked for him should be freed and compensated $2,000. His estate after evaluation would be split among his wife's family, his family and other acquaintances. Doak enclosed a dollar owed by him to Maguire for a table purchased at a sale which he had not paid him yet.
