Jackson, Henry, 1747-1809
Autograph letter signed
Title: to Henry Knox
Received his recent letter and was happy to hear that Knox and his family are well. Discusses a recent severe snowstorm. Refers to papers he recently sent Knox regarding the purchase of townships in Maine, and declares that the only thing causing delay is the illness of a Mr. Phillips, who is presently unable to do any business. Advises that Knox or Mr. [William] Duer visit with him prior to completing a business transaction with "the Lady" because he must explain several things. Mentions the departure of a vessel. Sends his love to Mrs. Knox and their family.
