Knox, Henry, 1750-1806
Autograph letter
Title: to David Fales
Marked "copy." Unsigned, but authorship inferred from handwriting. Writes that the bearer of the letter, Captain Thomas Vose, will "make an establishment at the fort and block house farms for our mutual interests." Believes the people of Thomaston (Maine) will accept Captain Vose, and hopes that Fales and Vose will work well together. Has told Vose of his high esteem for Fales. Is unsure whether he will be able to visit the patent lands again during the present year. Asks Fales to present his compliments to the people generally in Thomaston.
