Title: [Poem honoring Colonel Moses Parker of Chelmsford]

Poem in 22 stanzas honoring Colonel Moses Parker, killed at the Battle of Bunker Hill, 17 June 1775. First stanza says: "Come all who have skill and Lament / and let your hearts and eyes have vent / While you to memory do call / The Valient Colonel Parkers fall." Goes on to speak of Parker as a hero because of his courage and valiant actions. Says he fought in the French and Indian War before dying in the American Revolution after being wounded in the thigh. Hopes Parker will be a role model for other soldiers.

Marked that it is engraved by Lodge, but drawn by a Mr. Millar. Engraved for Edward Barnard's book "New Complete & Authentic History of England," which was published in 1783. Shows the bombardment, from both land and sea, of Charles Town. The town was bombarded after house-to-house fighting failed to dislodge the American militia. Officers asked that hot shot be fired at the town, which was done from ships and from Copp's Hill in Boston. The engraving shows the subsequent conflagration. John Noyes writes to his wife in Newbury, Massachusetts that he is well and hopes she is too. He has not been paid yet. States the troops were going to take Bunker's Hill but the ice was not strong enough to bear them. Noyes was a soldier in the Continental army during the Revolutionary War.

Russel states that General Lafayette would like to see Perkins "after divine service this afternoon." Hopes that Perkins can persuade General Elliot to be there as well, since Lafayette would like to see him as well. Says Lafayette must be back in Boston by the evening. The letter is addressed to Perkins in "Brooklyn," which refers to Brookline, Massachusetts, where Perkins lived. Possibly written in 1825 when Lafayette visited Boston to help dedicate the Bunker Hill Monument, which Perkins contributed extensively towards.

Written by Butler as Mauger's agent in Nova Scotia to Mauger as a British Member of Parliament who was formerly Nova Scotia's agent in London. Mauger was considered the unofficial spokesman of the colony in Parliament. This document contains three letters, all of which appear to be copies.
