Shows the U.S. Mine Ford. Also shows three pontoon bridges over the Rappahannock River, various Confederate batteries and rifle pits, hospital locations, and the location of Fitzhugh House. References to a skirmish on a Sunday night and a shelling on Monday morning probably refer to 26-27 April 1863 (but it possibly could be 3-4 May 1863). A note on back identifies the creator as "A Clark Bunn/Burn/Bun 50th N.Y.V. Eng." There are photographs of this regiment and its work in GLC05111.

Reports that during the French and Indian War (1754-1763) he served as surgeon's mate of the general hospital, as surgeon of the 31st Regiment of Foot, and as surgeon to the garrison of Belleisle. Cites that in 1765, he was appointed as hospital surgeon in Pensacola, Florida; he left Florida in 1781, when Pensacola was seized by Spain.
