Forgot to mention in his letter of yesterday that he made an inquiry into apple and pear trees as well as currant bushes. Says they are hard to find here. Has been told it is too late in the season. If they were transported to Maine, not one in a thousand would survive. Besides that, there is no nursery that can supply more than a quarter of the number he requested.
