Discusses furlough policy. Mentions that President Jefferson Davis has "good reasons" to believe that the Civil War will end by 1 July 1863. Aks Marion to send him food. His regiment is currently sitting idle, but may soon be called to North Carolina. Would like someone to take his place. Wants to visit Charles Colcock, in a regiment near Fredericksburg. Discusses suit his parents will be making for him.…
