Signed by both Coursey and Philomen Lloyd. They thank the Sinnondowannes for their outstanding loyalty, and ask that they renew their peace agreement. The Sinnondowannes are also instructed to hand over any Indian that has murdered a white man or destroyed his property, and to maintain a peaceful relationship with colonists' other Indian allies.

Title: Propositions made to the Onondagas, Oneidas, Cayugas, and Senecas

Byrd informs the Indians that they have broken their covenant with the people of Virginia and Maryland when they invaded their land, abducted their servants, and fought with their Indian allies. Rather than go to war over this, Byrd asks that the Indians return the people they abducted, and call back any men that they sent down to Virginia and Maryland.

Baron explains that the Senecas are stationed at the head of the James River, and have attacked some neighboring English and Indian settlements, where they plundered houses and carried off Indians. He then informs Lord Effingham that in order to secure the surrounding counties, the Council granted them commissions to build up their militias, which he hopes meets with the Lord's approval. Title: Propositions of the 5 Nations and River Indians to Coll. Robert Hunter

The 5 Nations and River Indians have gathered at Albany to voice their commitment to General Francis Nicholson and the expedition to reduce Canada. They ask the Governor to pardon the French Praying Indians if they decide to help the English, and inquire as to how to dispose of French prisoners. Governor Hunter answers that he will forgive all that join the expedition, and instructs the Indians to give Christian prisoners to the English, who will in turn give Indian prisoners to the 5 Nations. Robert writes that he sends this letter per Capt. Smith, the Agent of Virginia, who has informed him of the mischief wrought by the 5 Nations in that colony. He also notes that some pirates took Smith and held him in Sandy Hook for some time, and there is fear that ships sent from England will meet with a similar fate.

Title: Answer to the proposition of Governor Hunter regarding Virginia

The 5 Nations state that the Indians they attacked in Virginia are a "false and treacherous" people, but if they had known that they were friends of the English, they would never have attacked. They extend their apologies to Virginia, and ask that an agent be sent up to Albany so that the covenant between the 5 Nations and Virginia may be renewed. In his response, Governor Hunter demands that the 5 Nations find the prisoner they took and return her to Virginia. Title: Propositions to the 5 Nations

William Burnet, the Governor of Pennsylvania, invites the 5 Nations to renew the covenant chain between them. He recalls an unhappy incident in which 2 men from Pennsylvania killed an Indian of the 5 Nations in the midst of an argument over the sale of rum. Burnet expresses his sorrow over the incident, and assures the Indians that the guilty men are in prison and will be tried as if they had killed a Christian man. A sizeable portion of the document is missing due to damage. Signed by Robert Livingston, Secretary of Indian Affairs.

The deposition explains that Symon Groot came to the colony in 1638 to trade with the West India Company, and throughout his time here he has repeatedly endangered himself by fighting with the Mohawks in their war with the French and their Indians. He also explains the practice of taking hostages among the French and Indians, and how the Indians learned to torture prisoners from their experience with the French. Document is marked as a copy.

Title: Report about the Indians

Van Eps states that upon his arrival at Onondaga in July, he found the Indians meeting with some French men, for which he reprimanded them and informed them that Corlaer forabade such activity. When he questioned the Indians about the French intentions, he learned that the French proposed peace, the release of prisoners, and asked permission to place a Jesuit in their country. The Indians refused the French propositions, and stated that if they wanted a priest, Corlaer would supply them with one.

William J. Dodge was convicted in the U.S. District Court of Western New York of making seditious utterances while the U.S. was a war, in violation section 3 of the Espionage Act of 16 May 1918, appeal was denied by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals 13 October 1919 and the Supreme Court denied a petition for a writ of certiorari. Dodge began serving his sentence at the State penitentiary at Baltimore, Maryland on 22 January 1920. Wilson commuted his sentence to expire on 22 November 1920. Countersigned by William L.
