Discusses the Gordon Riots, mentioning that there are 25,000 soldiers in London and 60-70 of the rioters were shot (and many others taken prisoner). Reports that Lord George Gordon (the rioters' leader) was questioned by the Privy Council and "sent to the Tower under a strong Guard." Criticizes the anti-Catholic mob, who desired the repeal of the 1778 Relief Act and a return to Catholic repression. Describing one night of the riots, he writes: "it appeared as if all London from one End to the other had been in flames."

Appears to be an official statement of events that took place in the county of Hancock, Maine. An informant reported there was a large gathering of armed men who intended to head to [Cartine?], Maine to release the prisoners. The informant reports the group of men were armed with muskets, bayonets, knapsacks, and swords and were trying to recruit followers and threatening those who refused to join them. Date was added at a later date in pen. There is a note written from George Ulmer on the bottom of the letter dated the same day stating Seobey made a solemn oath to the truth of his testimony.

Noted as a copy. Appears to be discussing an encounter he had with a "hellish gang" and reports on the information he learned. Mentions he was unwillingly "anisiated" [initiated?] this day into the "Diabolical Lodge" by one of the members of that society. Comments Elmore's and the others (likely the surveyors) lives are "very much exposed." Reports the people called "Liberty men" near the Waldo patent are gathering with the intention of releasing the prisoners and stopping the surveying. The report was written for the surveyors, in order to help them avoid attack. A number of names are written on the bottom half of the page, appearing to be the names of those suspected to be insurgents.

Wishes help in settling disputes with those living on his lands in the Waldo patent. Also addresses to "Major Bracket and the reverend Thurston Whiting." Recent attacks on his surveyors have been made by neighbors worried he may encroach on their land. Asks Thomas, Bracket and Whiting to go to the towns on his land, and convince the residents that he has there best interestest in mind. Also asks them to accompany those surveying his land and report any violence, so the government can act to stop the attacks. Also discusses the history and details of his lands.

Pettition requesting that the Masschusetts government protect his lands against hostile squatters who live nearby, and who have repeatly attacked his surveyors and threatened violence to his lands. States that the government has promised protection, and has previously aided him, but that his lands remain threatened. Details the history of the attacks on his lands, and the opposition of these squatters and neighbors. Written some time shortly after August 1801.

Includes a transcript of a resolution from Davistown (possibly present day Liberty, Maine).
