Signed by Captain Patten and countersigned by John Lillie. There are two notes on verso -- one signed by Captain Patten details the troops on furlough in his unit and the other was signed by Sergent George Groom, who stated contractors delivered the 407 rations.

A Thomas [Hind] signed the second page, stating that contractors delivered the rations.

Written by Major Shaw, an aide-de-camp to General Knox, to West Point Commissary James Forsyth to issue ten days provisions to Thomas Nelson, his wife, and two children. Nelson was late of the artillery and was detained by the sickness of his wife. Docket is signed by Nelson and a C. Brandy stating that contractors delivered the rations.
