These documents are written by Brisbin and by various political and governmental officials. These typewritten copies date to circa 1887-1891 based on Mill's rank and assignment at the time.

Tells Palmer, the fleet surgeon on board the "Pensacola," that he sent a box and small package by the "Sebago" for Confederate Admiral Franklin Buchanan. Wants Palmer to ask Buchanan when the 15 inch shot that almost penetrated the port side of the CSS "Tennessee" during the Battle of Mobile Bay in August 1864 was delivered. General Chastellux (signed Chastelleaux) requests that Knox admit a French doctor who served in the Revolutionary War to the Society of the Cincinnati. Writes, "... you remember very well dear general, that after the siege of york you left behind a great number of sicks and that an american hospital was settled at Williamsburg... no american physician attended there, and doctor coste only took care of those soldiers, for the whole winter." Notes that the Marquis de Lafayette supports Coste's acceptance into the Society. Also mentions that Coste saved Chastellux's life.

Certificate verifying the admission of Lewis Campbell, a soldier in the first New Jersey Regiment guarding George Washington, to the hospital "for the cure of a wound received thro' his body ..." Lewis was wounded at King's Bridge and sent to the hospital at Robinson's Farm. Page one is signed by William Eustis (Hospital Surgeon), Jackson (Colonel of the 3rd Massachusetts Regiment) and David Townsend (Hospital Surgeon). Page two, a certification of Campbell's service and wound received, is written and signed by Caleb Gibbs.
