A wagon, perhaps an ambulance, stands just inside the cemetery gate. Note also the shattered window panes and dismantled fence. The Tyson brothers took a very similar view that August. The crowd, mostly men, fills the square. There is a line of men sitting on a fence in the foreground behind which are many horses and carriages.
