Henry writes that there is a possibility of a French invasion of England, but notes that the English fleet is so well fortified that the French would be utterly foolish to attempt an attack. In terms of the progression of the war, Henry believes that the English have had the most victories. He also notes that the Roman Catholics are being forced to leave London. Title: Proposition to the Commissioners of Albany with an answer

The Sachems report that they are resolved not to let a priest or French man live among them, and state that they are returning to their castles for security. They also complain of the lack of security offered by the English, and request more arms and ammunition. In their answer, the Commissioners thank the Sachems for their affirmation of the covenant chain, and agree with their mistrust of the French. They also agree to supply the Indians with the best powder and ammunition so that they may avenge the death of 5 Indians.

Title: Propositions to the Mohawks, Oneidas, Onondagas, and Cayugas

Ingoldesby asks the Indians for their full support in a land expedition against the French in Canada, who have shown themselves time and again to be the enemies of the 5 Nations. He also expresses his concern over the absence of the Senecas, who have fallen under the influence of the Jesuits. The document then gives an account of various Indian Sachems singing war songs and clasping the hands of the English as a sign of their commitment to the expedition. Marked as a true copy and signed by Robert Livingston, Secretary of Indian Affairs.

Title: to Peter Schuyler re: instructions to travel to Onondaga

Hunter informs Schuyler that a group of French men and officers recently arrived at Onondaga, and he wishes Schuyler to travel there immediately. While at Onondaga, Schuyler is instructed to thank the Indians for informing the English of the French arrival, and to remind them that they are not permitted to keep armed men, priests, or emissaries among them. Hunter also orders Schuyler to be present at all meetings between the French and Onondagas, and to send some Indians to the Canadian frontier to keep an eye on French movements.

The 5 Nations and River Indians have gathered at Albany to voice their commitment to General Francis Nicholson and the expedition to reduce Canada. They ask the Governor to pardon the French Praying Indians if they decide to help the English, and inquire as to how to dispose of French prisoners. Governor Hunter answers that he will forgive all that join the expedition, and instructs the Indians to give Christian prisoners to the English, who will in turn give Indian prisoners to the 5 Nations. The 4 Commissioners, John Pynchon, Thomas Savage, Andrew Belcher, and Jonathan Bull write to the Indians to include them in the chain and covenant with the 5 Nations. They explain that they expect their loyalty and assistance in a war against the French and Eastern Indians. The Commissioners also note that they wish to inform the Indians of the revolution in England and the conflict between Papists and Protestants, and their desire to retain untiy between the Dutch and English in the colonies.

Title: Report about the Indians

Van Eps states that upon his arrival at Onondaga in July, he found the Indians meeting with some French men, for which he reprimanded them and informed them that Corlaer forabade such activity. When he questioned the Indians about the French intentions, he learned that the French proposed peace, the release of prisoners, and asked permission to place a Jesuit in their country. The Indians refused the French propositions, and stated that if they wanted a priest, Corlaer would supply them with one.

The Earl of Bellomont asks the River Indians to invite their brethern the Eastern Indians to reside with them at Skachtkook, where they will receive the King's protection.
